One fish two fish, whats the new dish? For two weeks, we are in our ever entertaining Dr. Seuss Unit! Not only are these classic stories silly and very entertaining, the rhyme scheme helps us build a foundation for reading comprehension and communication.
We are reading classics such as The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax, Oh, the Places You Will Go, and so many more! We even have a few stories on audio book so we can follow along on our own or just listen as we free play.
This week, Teacher Dan brought keyboards and ukuleles for us to play during music class. Ms. Kristina has also started teaching us songs for our end of the year concert.
For art, we made paper bow ties and colored hats for the Cat in the hat. We also dot painted fish for our class's imaginary aquarium.
We will continue to read stories written by Dr. Seuss next week as well.
